The Firebirds (15-15-2), who tied the game on a sacrifice fly in the top of the fourth inning, had a chance to either tie or win the game, but left the bases loaded in the bottom of the ninth inning.

Christian Rodriguez (Florida) earned the save after he struck out the side to end the game, while Scott Doran (Coastal Carolina) picked up the win. He gave up just one hit and struck out five batters in three innings of work.
Tyler Myatt (Walters State CC) went 2-for-4 at the plate for the Firebirds, who were 1-for-7 with runners in scoring position.

Hyannis Harbor Hawks 12, Bourne Braves 0 (7 inn.)
The Harbor Hawks (13-16-3) exploded for a nine-run fourth inning as they ended a three-game slide in emphatic fashion against the Braves (14-16-2).
Deiten Lachance (McLennan JC) finished the day a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBIs and two runs scored, while Parker Bosius (Georgia Tech) went 2-for-4, had two RBIs and scored once. Brody Briggs (Arizona State) didn’t record a hit but was walked twice and scored twice.

Max Stammel (Duke) and Chris Diaz (Florida Gulf Coast) combined for the shutout, as they gave up just six hits and a walk, while striking out seven.
Cotuit Kettleers 2, Wareham Gatemen 1
The Kettleers (14-16-2) ended the Gatemen’s three-game win streak in a pitcher’s duel, where each pitching staff gave up just two hits apiece.
Payton Manca (Florida State) went six innings and gave up just one hit and struck out two batters to improve to a 2-1 record. Despite giving up an earned run, Jonathan Adelmann picked up the save across two innings.
Tate McGuire had a strong start for the Gatemen (17-15), only giving up two hits and an unearned run. Ty Starke (Louisville) didn't surrender a hit, run or walk in a perfect 1 1/3 innings, but was on the wrong side of the decision.

Brewster Whitecaps 5, Falmouth Commodores 2
Scott Newman (South Carolina-Upstate) helped the Whitecaps (17-14-1) end a two-game losing streak after he collected two RBIs and scored twice in a win that kept his team on pace with the East Division leaders.
Adam Magpoc (Boston College) tallied a RBI and scored once despite a 1-for-4 day and three strikeouts for the Whitecaps, who scored all five of their runs across a two inning stretch.
The Whitecaps held the Commodores (13-18-1) to six hits and three walks behind five different pitchers. Jack DeTienne (Xavier) was the winning pitcher, while Landon O’Donnell (State College of Florida) made his second save.

Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox 8, Chatham Anglers 5
The Red Sox (17-12-3) made it two straight victories behind a five-run fifth inning, sparked by a Garrett Wright (Bowling Green State) double that drove in two runs on his only hit of the game.
Jack Arcamone (Richmond) also helped a pair of runs cross home plate in the fifth inning. Brayden Dowd (Southern California) went 2-for-5 with two RBIs and a run scored, while Chris Hacopian (Maryland) was 4-for-5 at the plate.
The Anglers (13-16-3) had no trouble getting on base as they had 11 hits and drew two walks, but went just 3-for-8 with runners in scoring position. Roman Martin (UCLA) grounded out to end the game as he represented the tying run.

Daniel Jackson powered the Anglers’ offense with a 3-for-5 night and scored twice. Auburn’s Chase Fralick (one RBI and one run scored) and Mississippi State’s Reed Stallman (one RBI) both had two hits in the loss.
Ty Bayer (Kennesaw State) was dinged for all three runs scored by the Anglers, but he secured the win after he went 1 2/3 innings. Chris Downs (Cal Poly) struck out four batters and gave up three hits in three innings to make the save.
